What is gestational surrogacy

With the introduction of IVF treatment, gestational proxy came into existence.  Intended couples who wish to have their child are genetically connected with the baby, whereas the mother who delivers a child to them is in no way connected with the child except giving a room for the baby in her womb.  It is as simple as that and mother and baby are biologically differ with each other.  This is known as gestational substitute.  Surrogate mother only delivers the baby on behalf of intended parents. The  couple who desires to have a child takes over the responsibility of bringing up the child, once the mother delivers the baby.  Parenting responsibility will be managed by the couple then after. 

So, what us gestational surrogacy?  In gestational surrogacy the egg and sperm are fertilized outside under laboratory conditions.  In vitro fertilization takes place and often surrogate mother will remain a stranger to those people who wish for their child.  In gestational proxy the embryo is implanted in the uterus of a woman and it will grow there till its birth, and after delivery it will be handed over to its biological parents.

Often it has been observed that egg donor and sperm donor both are unknown to parents who wish to have a child.  Surrogate mother needs to undergo various medical check ups.  She will be screened for infectious diseases and physical health.  Menstrual periods and other health requirements are checked out before choosing for surrogacy.
